Dear parents/guardians.

I hope everyone one had a great summer with family & friends and that you are all well rested for the busy school year ahead!

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back the staff, children and parents to School for our brand new school year. It was great to welcome back all the students after the summer break. 

Special mention to our new Junior Infants Students who have already settled in very well.  It’s great to see them smiling coming to school everyday. We hope they will be very Happy in Bishop Ahern NS.  

We will restart our School Newsletter from next week to keep you updated on everything happening in & out of the school. 

Just a few things for now. 

1. The Aladdin app is now operating and the app can be downloaded now to your phones etc. We have had over 70% of families download the app so far. If you are having difficulties setting it up, please do not hesitate to contact Lynn in the office. 

2. GAA coaching will commence with Mike Thursday 5th September and run for 6 weeks. This session will be football coaching.  All children are to wear their tracksuits and suitable footwear.

3. The school Photographer, William Whyte will be in the School Friday 6th September to take the annual Junior Infants Photographs. He will also take photographs of the Junior Infants with their Siblings. All children are asked to wear their full school uniform on the day please. 

4.We are delighted that for the upcoming school year we will have a new after school activity as well as Funky Kids. We will now also have Taekwon-Do classes every Friday with Darren Buckley.
